'Stan Tall' at Summer Retreat
with Chapter Board Members!
Stan provided guidance in fine-tuning the chapter's strategic plan
and setting measurable goals for 2010/2011.
'Stan
Tall' visits Safety Camp!
Stan participated in the Mercy Hospital Trauma Services brain
injury prevention and bike helmet safey camps this past summer. This really cool event targets 8-10 year kids in six surrounding
local communities (Andover, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Ramsey, Fridley, and New Brighton/Mounds). Stan Tall was assisted by
Rum River Chapter member volunteers: Ruth and Larry Bachmeier, Mary Hendricks, Mary Swander, Melissa Soderquist, and Sheila
Micka.
'Stan Tall' Picnics in
the Park!
Stan helped to guide the fall meeting chapter proceedings. Members learned of AACN national
and Rum River Chapter goals, scholarship opportunities, and 2010/2011 activities such as the Stand Tall: Essentials
in Critical Care Mini Conference; certification celebration dinner; certifcation study groups; certification reveiw course;
community service projects, and winter and spring chapter meetings. The meeting also consisted of a brief
presentation by each board member of their role and primary accountabilities. After the picnic meeting members
socialized and played a game of bean bag toss!
'Stan Tall' attends
the "Stand Tall: Essentials in Critical Care Mini-Conference"! While collecting money for the foodshelf,
Stan, learned about the critical topics of: severe alcohol withdrawal, tako tsubo cardiomyopathy, pneumonia, and
pitfalls in hemodynamic monitoring held on November 12, 2010 at Mercy Hospital!

Food!
Two groups of Rum River Chapter members, friends, and family provided assistance to Stan Tall packaging
food at "Feed My Starving Children" on January 13 and 21, 2011!
'Stan Tall' is Growing
and Goes Bowling!
Stan Tall attended the chapter meeting and bowling event on January 18, 2011. This event
was attending by members and their families. Stan particulary enjoyed bowling with the children!
